The Mirror

What you see in the mirror will carry you to your final destination.

Since our sense of self dictates the way we go and how we go, I have learned that we better learn to love ourselves and like what we see in the mirror. I have found that it is truly impossible to like ourselves without knowing God likes us and loves us.

Because we know our limitations and shortcomings, we naturally loathe what we see in the mirror. Only when we hear that He forgives us and accepts us and sent Jesus to die for us on the cross can we move beyond our self loathing into a place of self acceptance. Our new identity is found in Him and in his grace.

We can only truly love others and love God when we first love ourselves. We can only love ourselves when we know that He loves us and gave himself for us. We can only walk in joy, peace, and love when we see a loved person in the mirror.

When you look in the mirror, do you see a child of God? Only then will you truly be able to go in peace my friend.
